Samil Cimen is a Dutch–Turkish filmmaker, photographer and designer based in the Netherlands.

He graduated from the St. Joost School of Art & Design, where he developed a poetic-realist approach to storytelling.

His work explores identity, displacement and the search for belonging between cultures. Drawing from personal experience, he creates intimate narratives in which silence, atmosphere and human vulnerability take center stage.

Through cinema, he seeks not only to tell stories, but to understand himself and the world around him.
